Profession Balance? - Guild Wars Forums

I have a question. If you could estimate from experience how many players choose each profession?

Currently, as an owner of all 3 campaigns, it seems pretty equal. I see a big variety of professions.

Do you think that warriors are more prevalent? Or mesmers, etc.?

We ran a poll in December on "first profession created" which came out with Warrior & Ranger the top choices, then Ele, then Necro, Mesmer and lastly, Monk.

But by the time someone has filled up their first 4 character slots, the ratio would have changed immensely.

By the time you have bought all three chapters, you probably have one of each. A wild guess from me is that most likely the Ranger is the most widely played character (Gaile has about 17 of them, if I remember correctly).

Mostly agree with what Darcy said. I know I have one of all the professions and a PvP slot. Of course, not enough time to play them all but they all get play time every once in a while.

The one difference is that, so far, each chapter has had a specific profession that a large portion of the new people played. For a while you saw nothing but Assassins or Dervishes (with their respective chapter release).

Though, again, over time it evened out. Though I would venture that the Mesmer is the least played PvE class (don't get me wrong, I like having one in a party).

I never see Paragons, yet to me they seem to be the superior profession out of the new campaign. :/

i dont think ive ever seen a ritualist..haha either im jus not looking hard enough or nobody makes them....btw r they any good??
